Curse of the Black Gold: Oil in the Niger Delta by Ed Kashi

Scenes of daily life in the oil city of Warri, in the Niger Delta. Warri is a troubled town, with rampant poverty, unemployment, angry and violent youth and a crumbling infrastructure. Yet oil wealth is created in and around this area.In the tiny village of Ubeji, which is an ethnic Shakiri community near a NNPC (Nigerian National Petroleum Company) refinery, local laborers collect sand from the creeks to sell to contractors and large construction companies.
