MAP’s mission is to address structural injustices and to remove barriers that impede participation in academic philosophy for members of marginalized groups. While climate change negatively affects everyone, it disproportionately harms already-marginalized groups, economically, socially, and in terms of public health. How can we justly distribute the burdens of preventing and mitigating climate change in light of these different harms (and past benefits that contributed to climate change)?
The conference is co-sponsored by GAPSA, the Graduate Student Government of the School of Arts and Sciences, Perry World House, the Wolf Humanities Center, and the departments of Philosophy and Political Science at the University of Pennsylvania.
