The Centre for Energy Ethics will be hosting another Senior Global Fellow during the 25/26 academic year.

Professor Marc Brightman is an anthropologist at the University of Bologna where he uses anthropological theory and ethnography to questions our modern approaches towards sustainability. We are excited to welcome Professor Brightman to the CEE and look forward to working with him throughout the coming academic year.


Established in 2020, the University of St Andrews Global Fellowship Scheme has provided prestigious awards to enable talented scholars from around the globe to spend up to a month at the University. Senior Global Fellows are established world leaders in their field, with an international reputation for research excellence and a considerable record of achievements, leadership and publications. During their stay, Senior Global Fellows are expected to embed themselves in the scholarly community at St Andrews, interacting with a wide range of staff and students, and participating in the scholarly activities of Schools, Centres, and Institutes
