We are thrilled to be able to announce the appointment of Dr Cornelia Helmcke to the Centre for Energy Ethics Postdoctoral Fellowship. Funded by The Gabrione Family, the Fellowship is a 1-year award offered to an outstanding early career researcher working on issues of energy ethics in the arts, humanities, social or natural sciences.
Dr Helmcke is currently co-leading the interdisciplinary research project “Community priorities in the creation of sustainable futures: an exploration of community-led decision making in peatland restoration projects in rural Scotland” within the School of Geography and Sustainable Development at the University of St Andrews. This project seeks to understand local decision-making processes around peatland restoration and carbon offsetting in rural Scotland.
Dr Helmcke’s role will officially begin on 1 September 2023.
