The Scottish Funding Council (SFC) is hosting a launch event to celebrate the beginning of their four SFC-funded Alliances for Research Challenges (ARCs). These are:
- The Scottish Alliance for Food.
- The Brain Health Alliance.
- The Scottish Research Alliance for Energy, Homes and Livelihoods.
- The Quantum Technologies Alliance.
During this event, representatives from each of the ARCs will discuss their goals, their place within the Scottish research and innovation ecosystem and their plans for the future, followed by a networking reception.
Alliances for Research Challenges aim to form a direct connection between Scotland’s research excellence and Scotland’s national challenges. In particular, these alliances are designed to coordinate the research community within Scotland across disciplines, institutions and sectors and connect Scottish Government priorities with areas of strength within our publicly funded research system.
