Biography
Vivienne Wild is a Professor in the School of Physics and Astronomy, University of St Andrews. Her research is on the evolution of galaxies, focussing on why some galaxies run out of gas and stop forming stars. She is a member of the Astronomers for Planet Earth group, who aim to use the unique perspective of astronomy to help astronomers, astronomy students and the public to address the climate crisis. She is the School of Physics and Astronomy staff sustainability officer and organises her local village sustainability group.
