Biography
Valentina Groposo Bertin is an experienced Industrial and Mechanical Engineer with extensive expertise in optimizing energy systems, particularly in renewable energy and electricity supply. Based in Montevideo, Uruguay, she works as a Planning and Generation Studies Specialist at UTE, the state-owned electricity company, where she strategically plans energy supply to reduce costs and ensure reliable service. Her achievements include developing innovative tools for modeling wind energy and optimizing electricity sales in regional markets, contributing to Uruguay’s energy transition.
Valentina holds a graduate diploma in Energy Engineering and a degree in Industrial and Mechanical Engineering from the Universidad de la República, Uruguay. She is currently pursuing an MSc in Energy Policy and Finance at the University of St Andrews.
