Associate Lecturer, School of Management
Biography
Lucy is an Associate Lecturer in the School of Management. She is currently undertaking research investigating how the Circular Economy is framed within Responsible Management Education. She is a member of the University of St Andrews Sustainability in the Curriculum Group.
Her research interests are primarily in sustainable waste governance, responsible enterprise, education for sustainability and the Scottish policy context for sustainability. Her previous research includes investigating reuse practices within higher education institutes; business and human rights issues in Scotland; and sustainability competencies required for leadership in Higher Education.
She completed her PhD entitled “A Resourceful Aspiration: Understanding the Governmentality of Zero Waste in Scotland” in 2015 in St Andrews. She has an MSc in Sustainability Science and Environmental Studies from the University of Lund, Sweden and an LLB in Law and Politics from University of Edinburgh.
Before returning to academia, Lucy trained as a solicitor. She also has experience working for and with community and corporate environmental organisations.
