Biography

Caroline Mullen joined the Institute for Transport Studies in 2010.  Her work focuses mobility justice, with a focus on inequalities associated with transport pollution, vulnerable road users, and the impacts of the mobility system on social and economic equalities. As part DEMAND Centre she is currently investigating relationships between future fuel prices, low emission vehicles and social equality. This builds on her previous research, including that on the equalities implications of policy on walking and cycling, and on governance in low carbon travel. She leads ITS’ work on the EU CH4LLENGE project on sustainable urban mobility planning, and co-leader of the Sustainable Transport Policy Research Group at ITS.  Details of her publications, including links to open access pre-prints, can be found via: http://www.its.leeds.ac.uk/people/c.mullen
