The first St Andrews Sustainability Summit is being held in Upper and Lower College Hall on Friday 13th September 2024, 14:00-17:30 (end of Fresher’s week). As part of this event, the CEE will be manning a stall advertising our events and mailing list. CEE Postdoctoral Fellow Dr Cornelia Helmcke will also be providing attendees with an introduction to the Centre and overview of our work.
Don’t buy in eco doom and gloom; there is a lot to do for sure, but doing what is needed just takes people to do it. The St Andrews Sustainability Summit is your chance – at the very least, to find out what we are doing at the University of St Andrews for a sustainable future – and at the very most, this is your opportunity to get involved to make this happen. The program is simple – come along between 2 and 5 pm and see what is happening at various stalls. If you come for only an hour then make it between 3 and 4pm, when you will also hear some speed introductions from key individuals who are responsible for sustainable St Andrews.
Programme
14:00 Doors Open – come and browse the stalls in Upper and Lower College Hall and talk to the sustainability people working at St Andrews and find out how to get involved.
15:00 A brief overall introduction and welcome in Lower College Hall
15:05 Speed introductions – Representatives from the various groups and important individuals that are tasked with sustainability at the University will give 1 minute introductions to themselves and what they do in the University. They will then be available for questions and chat one to one immediately afterwards.
15:30 – 17:00 Further browsing, mingling, networking, and being informed at the various stalls as you wish.
