The Dame Kathleen Ollerenshaw (DKO) program is seeking outstanding applicants across:

- Future computing, electronics and AI
- The British Heart Foundation Centre of Excellence
- Regulatory Science – Digital Twins, In Silico Trials and Computational Modelling (The Christabel Pankhurst Institute)
- Fashion Business Technology
- Imaging – AI and TEM
- Unilever – Process Engineering and Product Science
- Nuclear – environment and waste
- Nuclear – advanced processing (HALEU), (Dalton Nuclear Institute)
- Nuclear – co-generation (Dalton Nuclear Institute)
- The University of Manchester at Harwell-related research
While these are fixed-term in the first instance, many holders go on to permanent appointments.
