The Rooted Futures Lab Environmental Justice & Technology (EJIT) Fellowship is a project-based summer fellowship for individuals working at the intersection of technology, infrastructure, and environmental justice.

Each Fellow will contribute to a defined project area while working independently and in close collaboration with Rooted Futures Lab staff and other Fellows. All tracks are designed to produce tangible outputs that support communities, advance critical inquiry, and strengthen the broader EJIT field.

For Summer 2026, Rooted Futures Lab is offering fellowship tracks in the following areas:



Fellowship Details: 

  • Time commitment: ~20 hours per week (flexible)
  • Duration: June 15 – September 4, 2026 (~12 weeks)
  • Location: Remote
  • Compensation: US$3,000 stipend (flexible payment schedule)
