Title: Community shared ownership of commercial renewable energy projects – realising the ambition.
Abstract: Scottish Government has ambitions for community shared ownership and community benefit payments as standard from all new commercial renewable energy projects. This mainly involves community organisations taking stakes in ever larger onshore wind farms, with even larger offshore wind farms on the horizon. But, how is this being delivered against a backdrop of energy policy in Scotland specifically reserved to the UK parliament – and how can this be improved on?
