Energy Cafe: Mixing Art & Oil

Come and join us for another Energy Cafe – an informal space for researchers to discuss their work. This time our host is Callum Kellie.

 

Callum Kellie is an artist and educator based in Aberdeen Scotland, working at Robert Gordon University within School of Creative & Cultural Business. His personal artistic practice explores the social impact of the North Sea Oil Industry and the perceptions of landscape and land use relating to Scottish national identity.

 

Introducing his own work, he will also discuss the process of facilitating artistic collaboration between the oil industry and young artists. Having over several years developed a collaborative partnership between the University and partners within the North Sea oil industry. Mentoring art students through a variety of creative projects responding to oil and gas and its associated workforce.
