Conference Venues

We are thrilled to have had two dynamic venues for our conference, in Dundee, Scotland.  

Day 1 (Sunday 8^th June) will be held at the Dundee Contemporary Arts

This vibrant community venue supported our showings of artwork and installations, accompanied to artist talks. It supported a session of film showings with talks/Q&A with the film-makers.  We also had our opening reception here.  

Days 2 & 3 (Monday 9^th and Tuesday 10^th June) were held at the V&A

This striking contemporary space supported our academic paper sessions, panels, and participatory creative workshops. Our conference dinner was held here, too. Some additional workshops were offered off-site, in outdoor spaces close to the main conference.  

Virtual and Hybrid Participation 

We were pleased  to fully support hybrid/virtual engagement using the vFairs online platform. This allowed us to provide a strong level of engagement to remote or further-afield delegates who could not attend in person. In addition to digital access to all academic paper sessions, and to the keynote session, online workshops and plenary panel sessions, vFairs also made available our unique range of art installations and films via an online gallery.
