The University of Lapland Faculty of Law is seeking to recruit a legal scholar or a political/social scientist for a professorship or associate professorship in energy security. This is a strategic, targeted recruitment with funding available for a research team and project costs for up to 5 years.
The appointed researcher will focus on the regulation and governance of vulnerabilities and security risks linked to energy transitions. This position is part of the Faculty’s commitment to advancing research excellence through LOST – Law, Technology and Sustainability Transitions group and builds on the ATLAS profiling area, which emphasizes legislative and policy development for sustainability transitions, particularly in the Arctic.
