UK energy and climate policy at a critical time: A Fireside Chat with Dr Sean Field
How can scholars turn research into real impact? And what is it like to step into the heart of government?
At this event, the CEE’s Director of Policy, Sean Field, will share his experiences working at the UK’s Department for Energy Security and Net Zero. At DESNZ, Sean worked on the GBE analytical sponsorship team, contributed to energy policy, and led research on social co-benefits integration into social cost benefit analyses. In the process, he learned a lot about how energy and climate change policy is made and acted upon, including what works, what doesn’t work; and the thoughtful planning and coordination that goes into every step.
