Centre Opportunities

Visiting scholars

The Centre for Energy Ethics welcomes visiting academics and doctoral candidates who wish to join the Centre’s interdisciplinary research community.  Visiting scholars may apply to visit the Centre for a period of 1 to 12 months.

Visiting scholars are warmly welcomed and encouraged to take part in Centre activities, such as research seminars, invited talks and events. Visiting scholars can also join School events across the University and will normally have access to the University library, computer facilities and office space. Access to specific research facilities, such as laboratories and archives, must be discussed in advance. Visiting scholars are expected to pay fees in accordance with the length of visit.

The University has further information for visiting scholars and students including information regarding fees.

In the first instance, interested visiting scholars should contact Dr Mette High, Centre Director.

Please note that visits are not currently permitted. Guidance on welcoming visitors to the University will evolve in line with the Scottish Government’s route map for moving out of lockdown.
